Extra curricular Activities
There are a number of fantastic extra curricular clubs throughout the school that take place during lunch time or after school which offer pupils the opportunity to pursue their interests and demonstrate their talents. There are also clubs that are designed to offer additional support to the students who require it.
Activ8
Activ8 is an extended curricular after-school programme designed to offer pupils the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities aimed at maintaining 'active bodies and active minds'. This year's session's programme will start on Wednesday 19th August and run every Wednesday until the October break (8 sessions).
Activ8 offer a number of clubs such as: Stop Motion Animation, Craft Club, Theatre Club, Book Club, Debate Club, SFX Make up and a variety of Sports Clubs.

Media Team
The Media Team is always busy. There are just so many events and activities going on around the school that are to be reported on. Numerous articles have appeared in the local press, with monthly contributions to the Gryffe Advertiser. Every Friday, team members fill the Gryffelife boards with news and we are almost at the 150th edition! A huge commitment is the Monthly Newsletter. The team work very hard to ensure that this is ready for compilation and then publication on the first Wednesday of every month.
Please make sure you take time to read it on the school website (under "News") and catch up with the achievements of the pupils in the school! The Media Team usually take part in BBC News School Report Day. This year, we also have the opportunity to take part in a Sky Studios Skills Workshop at Sky Livingston.
The media team meets on a Wednesday after school (by arrangement) in Lab 4. We are always looking for hard working members to join the team from S1 to S6. Pupils can choose to be journalists, photographers or both!
If interested, see Mrs McGeough in Science.
